I have been taking my Golf and Audi a6 to Harper Motors for four years. Really can't recommend them enough. I don't know a great deal about cars so I had searched for years to find a garage that wouldn't leave me feeling uneasy or overpaying. They are fair, honest, flexible and extremely knowledgeable. They have helped me out several times when I was in a bind (emergency pit stop, home visits etc). I have complete confidence in them to do good quality work for a fair price.
Following a motorway breakdown I received really valuable advise from Harper Motors. They looked over the car and said that instead of them repairing the car I would do better to go to a Ford main dealer, as they may do the work under warranty even though the car was 7 years old. It was a serious fault and they were right. Ford did the work at no charge. Harper Motors could have charge me for a repair but they were professional and saved me a significant amount of money. I really valued their honesty and would recommend them.
I went to Harper Motors after Audi Main Dealer presented me with a £4K+ quote for some issues with my A5. I wanted a 2nd opinion and went here and thank goodness I did. They were professional and kept me informed every step of the way. In the end I spend well under £1k - they even did some minor jobs for me which I had put off, all included in the total price. I also found myself stranded recently when my EPC system came on and put the car into "crawl mode" during my morning commute. I called, they came to me, diagnosed the problem, went to get the correct Bosch parts and fitted them, all in under 2hrs from my initial call...Fantastic! You can trust these guys! How refreshing.
Been taking my Audi A3 to Harpers for couple of years. Always very prompt, efficient and friendly service, and at a very reasonable price. Today's example is fixing clutch pedal and steering problem same day (despite not being booked in) for under £200.
