Like others, we started having problems on the M6 and after phoning round in a panic while limping to Carlisle, phoned Bob. He was very nice, but honestly said he was too busy to help. He recommended Richard at Watsons Auto Care, but said if Richard couldn't fit us in, he'd try his very best to help. Phoned Richard and he said "come down and I'll see what I can do." There's an amazing network of proper mechanics in Carlisle! By this point, we already knew that we had a snapped alternator belt, and the van was running on electrical fumes. When we arrived Richard quickly diagnosed what we needed, and despite the Nation's parts supply network being entirely off line, he still managed to get all the parts that he needed to start work at 3pm as he had initially promised. While being fed cups of coffee from Samantha, we waited while Richard fixed our van and successfully got us fully working and on the road again. The bill was not nearly enough for the impact of not being able to get us on the way to work today, and an important business event at the weekend. We would've lost thousands of pounds. To Richard and Samantha - thank you so much for getting us mobile again! We really appreciate all your efforts. For anyone who needs their services, we can't recommend them highly enough. If you find the bill as fair as we did, may we suggest a suitable thank you 😊
We came across Richard on recommendation after a motorway breakdown. I want to fully endorse and confirm that Richard went out of his way to provide an excellent service –explaining every step of the process necessary, providing an accurate estimate and excellent workmanship. On top of the mechanical expertise shown, Richard was polite, friendly and kindness itself in supporting us during what was a completely unexpected and traumatic experience. We have no doubt that this is already proving to be a very successful business, and will be in great demand for many years to come. Thank you Richard, and all the best to you for the future – we wish we lived nearer to Carlisle!
On our way to Cornwall from Glasgow when my car started losing power, came to the garage and exhausted and stressed. I shouldn’t have worried, car kept on site whilst we hired a car and continued on our holiday. Just collected it and have to say the service is as second to none. Made a difficult situation a lot easier. Really friendly staff and car runs like a dream again. Highly recommend.
Was on way to our holiday when my car decided to have no brakes. Watsons auto care went above an beyond to make sure myself an family got back on the road to get us home. Would highly recommend very professional an friendly would definitely use again if I was in the area. 💯%
These lot go out of their way to get you sorted. They aren't money grabbers, they'll talk you through every step and what's needed. Helped me get my old car ready for sale, got my new car sorted when it had a fault plus giving it a check over in general, and didn't mind providing evidence to the garage and warranty companies. Would highly recommend.
