If your car is coming up with a P2279 code on your OBD-II reader, you've come to the right place as we'll explain everything you need to know about this car trouble code and how to sort it.

The turbo or supercharger uses exhaust pressure and an air/fuel mixture to create the boost, which is monitored by the powertrain control module. The generic P2263 trouble code triggers when a performance issue with the turbo/supercharger boost system materialises, and there is a detected difference in exhaust pressure from the manufacturer's predetermined threshold (be it lower or greater).

The P0036 code is a diagnostic trouble code indicating that the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) control circuit bank 1, sensor 2, is not sending the correct data to the powertrain control module (PCM). For the engine to operate correctly, the engine exhaust should have a specific air-fuel ratio of 14.7 to 1, and it's the HO2S (oxygen sensor) that detects the oxygen from the exhaust. The error code P0036 triggers when there is an ongoing issue with the heater element of the HO2S. The reason it's heated is to ensure the PCM maintains a high-speed response to the closed-loop system, thereby reducing emissions at startup. 

The Mass Airflow Sensor (MAS) measures the amount of air entering the engine. When the air entering the engine is outside of the manufacturer's specified range, the P0101 trouble code activates, indicating a problem with the MAS operating range and/or an engine performance issue. This particular diagnostic code can often be accompanied with trouble codes P0100, P0102, P0103 and P0104.
