He made enquiries on my behalf regarding an authorisation number (warranty) before commencing work.

All pretty good really. The car was back within 2 hours of it going. My only comment is that access to my car radio had disappeared when I first drove it afterwards. It had a strange icon asking me to plug in some connection which I had never seen before. Eventually I worked out how to delete this and restore the radio connection. Either the guy who collected the car or someone at the garage had obviously attached some temporary device and not reversed it when they finished.

The work was more complicated than anticipated following an online quote; so the cost was higher, but this was not a surprise once the car had been delivered for the work to be assessed in detail.
It was a bonus that CAM garage could fit the work in quickly and the result of the repair is 'so far so good'.
The staff were very helpful and the ability to pick the car up out of normal working hours was extremely valuable.
