Warning lights

A glow plug warning light is a feature of all diesel cars. Glow plugs look very similar to spark plugs (which is the equivalent in a petrol engine), but a glow plug functions by adding additional energy to heat and start a diesel engine using diesel fuel. It's worth noting therefore that you'll find a glow plug warning light on diesel cars only.

Your car's seatbelt is important for you to stay safe. In your car, it is connected to an electrical circuit with a dashboard warning light that lets you know when you are not safely buckled up. In most cars, the seatbelt light may come on and the car might play an annoying sound to let you know that somebody is not belted up.

If the red battery light on your car’s dashboard starts blinking, then take it as a sign that your battery or charging system is not functioning properly.

When the error code P0113 is triggered, it indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) has received a higher voltage signal than expected from the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor, indicating a problem with the IAT sensor 1 or its circuit. The PCM monitors air intake temperature by sending a stable 5-volts to the IAT sensor. This sensor, in turn, uses a thermistor to measure the intake air temperature. If the temperature remains normal, the thermistor will have some resistance meaning the output voltage to the PCM will be below 5 volts. A P0113 OBD-II trouble code is triggered when the voltage signal to the PCM is higher. This particular trouble code is most often associated with P0111, P0112, and P0114 codes.
