Communications from the garage were polite and straightforward. I’d originally requested the pickup from 9.30 to 11, but when the garage phoned to confirm, they initially wanted it at 8.30. However, we negotiated after 9pm, but he turned up a bit after 9.30 anyway. They sent a text message to say my car had failed due to needing a front spring replaced – if I want them to go ahead with their quote, click here. I did and paid on line, something I am normally very cagey about doing. With some other garages for an MOT / Service, you get a visual or video of the problem, but nothing on this occasion. How do I know the part really needed replacing? I have to take their word. The main attraction of Fixter was the pickup and return service and a good price. I was supposed to be informed as to which garage would be carrying out the work, but the update of the booking confirmation didn’t include that. The implication was that someone from Fixter would be doing the driving for the pickup and return, but it was someone from the garage. So will I use them next year? I’m not sure.

Brilliant service, was a bit sceptical at first giving my car to someone. But I was kept up to date and my car was brought back early.

I really enjoyed using Fixter. I’d never heard of them until I realised I needed to book an MOT last minute. Easy booking system. Kept me updated with emails and texts thought out the day and when I needed further work doing it was just a click of a button to agree. The only reason I give 4 stars is because my car was 40 mins late back and I wasn’t able to get hold of anyone to find out what was happening. Other than that I will definitely use them again and would recommend them.

Fantastic service

Seamless experience. Jim is the star of the show. He is such a pleasure to talk to and trustworthy. Carefully picked up and delivered the car. You receive texts to let you know what stage of the process u Your car is in and the message you when the MOT is complete and delivery time. The only issue I had was that the pick up and delivery time was earlier than booked. Which could be an issue if you are out somewhere otherwise, Perfect
