Communications from the garage were polite and straightforward. I’d originally requested the pickup from 9.30 to 11, but when the garage phoned to confirm, they initially wanted it at 8.30. How do I know the part really needed replacing? I have to take their word. The main attraction of Fixter was the pickup and return service and a good price. I was supposed to be informed as to which garage would be carrying out the work, but the update of the booking confirmation didn’t include that. The implication was that someone from Fixter would be doing the driving for the pickup and return, but it was someone from the garage. So will I use them next year? I’m not sure.
